  moronovich: Looks egual,but not drawish
Jan-16-11  Marmot PFL: To trade queens or not, Magnus must decide
Jan-16-11  Marmot PFL: Probably time loss for Giri
Jan-16-11  zarg: Look equal, but both players may complicate things before time-control.

Penguincw: Black should keep the queens on the board because why bring the white king closer to the center.
Jan-16-11  Marmot PFL: f4 d6 b4 is sharp, and might be what shirov is looking for
Jan-16-11  zarg: f4 and instant d6 reply by Carlsen

Penguincw: It must've been a tough game in order for both sides to spend more than half of their time in less than 20 moves.
Jan-16-11  Marmot PFL: Probably not dc5 as black would rather open the e-file.
Jan-16-11  Marmot PFL: Shirov wants to be aggressive here but that's tough with only queen developed.
Jan-16-11  shakespeare: an aggressive counterattack was the best chance for Shirov to reduce the advantage of Carlsen - and it seems as if he has equalized by now
Jan-16-11  waustad: At least this one and the Anand-Kramnik had some drama before petering out.

  moronovich: Carsen took the perpetual.
½-½ oficially.
Jan-16-11  Marmot PFL: Perpetual check, one of those days where nothing much happens. White never moved his rooks.
Jan-16-11  zarg: oh well, draw it was.
Jan-16-11  talisman: <waustad> agree,...2 good ballgames.
Jan-16-11  beenthere240: Looks like a common old Scotch to me. The second draw by rep in a row for MC.
Jan-16-11  YCP: What if 20. dxc?
Jan-19-11  truefriends: wow the only half point for shirov after 4 rounds... is against MC
