Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-09-17  Ulhumbrus: 7...h6 disturbs the pawns on the king side.

After Black has thus made it less safe for his king on the king side - by playing ...h6 - it may be a good idea for White to get ready to attack the black King if he seeks safety then on the queen side.

To give one example, instead of 12 0-0-0, 12 Be2 gets ready for the attack Qe3 and b4.

Dec-09-17  CountryGirl: MVL is the Najdorf king - as were Garry and Bobby before him. He wins loads of games with it and hardly ever loses. Amazing stats.

An Englishman: Good Afternoon: Did White have no choice but to play 56.Nf4? Or were the e and g pawns doomed no matter what he did? If true, this game represents an example of why Petrosian laid such emphasis upon pawn islands; White's 3 were much weaker than Black's 2.
Dec-09-17  JPi: <CountryGirl> Here Ne5 was as formidable as MVL. Yes Maxime is really impressive with Najdorf and Grunfeld defences.

Especially this sharp 8 ... Qb6 line = Repertoire Explorer: Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (black)

Meanwhile Karjakin has excellent results against the Najdorf = Repertoire Explorer: Sergey Karjakin (white)
