redlance: He also put out Rand Springer.
Feb-26-06  sneaky pete: Did he, does he? The main culprit of the editions of <Randspringer> in my library is Rainer Schlenker der Henker.

Feustel (b. Bamberg, September 20, 1954) is the author of "Eröffnungen - abseits aller Theorie" (Joachim Beyer, 1982) which deals with unorthodox flank openings for white and (KB) fianchetto defences for black (Robatsch; modern defence). Bernd is a very serious man. "I regard the conception <hippopotamus> as a joke name and therefore will not use it".

GrahamClayton: <redlance>What ever happened to Rainer Schlenker and Bernd Feustel?

<redlance>,
Feustel retired from competitive play in the mid 1990's due to health problems. As mentioned previously, he made a comeback in the 2007 German championship, but had to withdraw, again due to health pronlems.
