chancho: Did Alekseev leave his Queen enprise?
Jul-31-08  siamesedream: 1st blitz 1/2
Jul-31-08  HFBA: DRAW!? :o
Jul-31-08  Sergius64: How did this draw?
Jul-31-08  percyblakeney: Draw.
Jul-31-08  solskytz: so funny, Dominguez not seeing an undefended Q on f3 for like 7 moves... I didn't believe my eyes

  chancho: Holy crap! They drew!
Jul-31-08  randzo: omg draw????????????????????????
Jul-31-08  percyblakeney: Something must have been seriously wrong with the transmission since various pieces were hanging much of the game.
Jul-31-08  Slaven MNE: what will heppen if LD take the Quen on f3?
Jul-31-08  solskytz: the important one was the Q, and somehow I don't think that the transmission is at fault
Jul-31-08  17.Bxg7: There should be a mistake in the relay ... after move 37, Alekseev blundered his queen and he did the same in other moves but Dominguez never took it... or was Dominguez THAT nervous?
Jul-31-08  acirce: Possibly the moves were not entirely accurately relayed there. Anyway, a draw was probably the logical result :-)
Jul-31-08  solskytz: this shows you that everybody has their limits.
Jul-31-08  HFBA: <percyblakeney: Something must have been seriously wrong with the transmission since various pieces were hanging much of the game.>

That is the most likely explanation, since blitzing on electronic boards doesn't sound right on paper.

Jul-31-08  SanChess: Wasn't the White Queen up for grabs or was there a display error (1st blitz)?
Jul-31-08  siamesedream: Why Dominguez didn't play 37... Qxf3?
Jul-31-08  02simon: draw!?!?!?!
Jul-31-08  HFBA: Does anyone know how the tiebreaks would've worked if there was a three-way tie for first?
Jul-31-08  Microdot: At move 37.Qxc6,Nxc6 was played.
Jul-31-08  vanytchouck: What's wrong with 47...Qxf3 winning the queen ?
Jul-31-08  02simon: Must have been error . . . there were a ton of pieces hanging.
Jul-31-08  malthrope: Right <percyblakeney> - Qxc6 and Nxc6 were omitted... Draw! GM Leiner Dominguez is the new Biel Chess Champion 2008! :)
Jul-31-08  Sergius64: Queens aren't even on the board on Boomie's posted game.
