Check It Out: 5+2 time control. Fedoseev is cracking some skulls and Topalov is struggling.

flimflam48: This does not seem to be Topalov's forte with so many losses?! Gasp! Fedoseev seems to be nailing it, to be sure!
May-01-25  Bobby Fiske: Topalov was always (relative) weak in speed chess. In his career´s most crucial game, the 12th and final game in the WC match vs Anand with a tied score, he went all-in and lost. Afterwards, he said he felt it was «now or never», because he considered Anand to be superior in the Rapid tie-breaks.

keithbc: Re Topalov - I agree and let's not forget also, he lost the 2006 WC match to Kramnik on tie-breaks.

May-05-25  cehertan: Pretty wild going 14-1 against this field at a speed. That’s some performance rating.
