This was the 7th European Junior Championship. Swiss, 13 rounds in 16 days, starting on Wednesday 21 December. Rest days 25 & 30 December, 4 January. Taulbut became European Champion (and an IM) on tiebreak (number of wins) ahead of Dolmatov (2nd) and Georgiev (3rd), all three with 9/13.
