Chessgames.com Chess Event Description
63rd US Open (1962)

Not all games are available.

US Open
San Antonio, Texas
August 13-25, 1962

For the second time in five years, the US Open was won by a non-US player. (Well, third, if you count Pal Benko.) This time, it was Spanish IM Antonio Angel Medina Garcia who came out on top, his crucial win coming in the 11th round against Arthur Bisguier who had earlier handed Benko his only loss.
