Nov-06-16 | | positionalgenius: Does anyone know of a bracket for team pairings? Every year this competition brings us some great games. |

 | | Annie K.: <Catfriend> You will just about never see Kramnik playing in the first round or two in these events, haven't you noticed that yet? :) He's on the player list, and should show up in his own good time, when his team gets paired against an opponent who may not be quite so far beneath his dignity. ;) Kramnik: The *REAL* pampered goldfish! :p |
Nov-07-16 | | Catfriend: <Annie K.> Hey! 2700chess removed him from the list, and http://euroclubcup2016.com/particip... has Syberia without Board 1, so I wasn't sure. I suppose you're right as usual and those lists will be updated. |
Nov-07-16 | | waustad: <positionalgenius> It's a Swiss, so brackets don't really happen. |
Nov-07-16 | | marcodpt: Very happy to see Moro playing again |
Nov-08-16 | | ealvarez: Kramnik played and won today ;) |
Nov-09-16 | | sonia91: <marcodpt> I think this is his first classical event this year. |
Nov-09-16 | | Harvestman: Every year Wales sends its top two teams from the previous year to this event, and most years they are battling to avoid last place, but at least they support the event. Between this year's teams we have three 2300 rated FMs. We won't win, but just for a chance to play top players this is a great experience for them. |

But sometimes he needs to take time off to attend to his health. |

Nov-19-16 | | sonia91: Team Alkaloid from Skopje, Macedonia won gold.
Silver went to Mednyi Vsadnik (St. Petersburg, Russia), reigning Russian team champion (Russian Team Championship (2016)).
Bronze to SHSM Legacy Square Moscow. Defending champions Siberia only finished 6th. Ivanchuk won the gold medal on the top board.
