Rilton Cup 2017/18

The 47th Rilton Cup took place from December 27 - January 5 in Scandic Continental, Stockholm, Sweden. The 9-round Swiss open featured 126 players from several countries. The event's namesake Dr. Tore Rilton, who died in 1983, wanted the tournament to be an opportunity for young Swedish talents to challenge strong masters from abroad. Players received 90 minutes for 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus 30 seconds per move starting from move 1. Photo of winner: http://www.rilton.se/images/tournam...

  Tabanus: First!

And congrats to Alekseenko. Too bad Salomon collapsed in the last round, a draw would have given him 1st place.
