The 5th Interpolis tournament was a Category XV event (Elo average 2608). Twelve GMs incl. former world champions Petrosian and Spassky competed in the all-play-all format, from 1-6 pm and 8-10 pm. Total prize fund: 85,000 Dutch guilders, with 6,000 guilders to the winner. Chief arbiter: Constant Orbaan.
