Kibitzer's Corner
May-05-18  morfishine: I guess Carlsen doesn't play in the Norwegian championship anymore, but does participate in the Norway chess tournament (editions). I've been googling around, and while its still a bit murky, that appears to be the case. I would be happy for clarification or verification

moronovich: I am quite shure its beeen a while since he played the norwegian championship <morfishine>.
May-05-18  Count Wedgemore: I think the last time Carlsen played the Norwegian National Championship was back in 2006, when he as a 15 year old won his first (and until now the only) national title.
May-05-18  areknames: Well, I for one am surprised and pleased that Agdestein is still playing at this level. The only GM that has played senior international football for his country, pretty amazing.
May-05-18  morfishine: Thanks <moronovich>!
May-05-18  Count Wedgemore: And I don't get any thanks?

Oh well. Never put your time into the hands of the ungrateful..

The only GM but not the only Chess Olympiad participant. Meet Torkil Nielsen: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torki...

May-05-18  morfishine: Thanks <Count Wedgemore>!
