The Ukrainian Team Championships took place in Alushta, April 10-18, 2000. There were 14 teams in this 9 round event with Juridical Academy Kharkov taking the title. 16 year old Ruslan Ponomariov scored 7/8 on top board for 3rd placed A.V. Momot Regional Donetsk Chess Club.
