Sponsored by the Doeksen shipping company, the event was held on board the Waddenzee ferry boat Friesland between Harlingen and Terschelling. Thinking time: 40 minutes per player, or as long as the trip lasted (about 1.5 hours). Organizer: Hans Bakker. The passengers saw Alexander Jongsma walking back and forth between two demonstration boards and two TV monitors in the boat's bar. Korchnoi won with 2.5/3.
