I think Black played 32....Kd7 to protect c6, then allow the ♖ to go to a8 then along the 8th rank.

  Candle: 33...Ra8 allows the obvious 34.Rxc6, but this isn't played. Could there be mistakes in the score here? Or did the players simply miss it?

Offramp's suggestion - defending the c6 pawn before playing ...Ra8 - makes sense, as does the alternate score provided. However, the nearest contemporary report of the match I could find (Tidskrift for Schack, Vol. XXVI, Jan-Mar 1920, page 60) gives the same game score as the one above.

  tamar: Not like Bogo to pass up a free meal with 34 Rxc6. The alternative score with 32…Kd7 was undoubtedly played.
