GrahamClayton: Original annotations from "Eze" in the British Chess Magazine:

.e4 would be Vienna Game, with at least an equal game. 5...♘c6 - more logical was 5...c5.
...g5 - to prevent f4 dislodging his Knight and gaining time.

...♕d6 - defending c6, threatening ...♕b4 and preparing for his 11th move.

.♘e2 - defending the d-pawn and having more options than 12.♘f3 would give.

...gf4 - 13...♕f4 is not so good.
...♕g6 - threatening 15....♘d4
...f3 - threatening 16...♗h6
.gf3 - if dc6 ♗b2+ and Black would win.
...a6 - if 17...♗e6 18.♕c3.
.d6 - starting his attack.
...ed6 - if 20...♗c4 21.de7 ♖e8 bc4.
.♖hg1 - to get elbow room.
...♕h5 - Best. If 21...♕e6 22.♖ge1.
...♕h2 - White must now play for a mate - 22...♕d5 23.♘b6+ wins the Queen.

...ab5 - He cannot risk 24...♖d5 (nor 24...♕g1 due to 25.♕c7+).

...♖c8 - forced. If 25...♔c8 26.♕f6. If 25...♕h4 26.♖d7.

...c6 - 26...♕f2 is of no avail.
27. ♖e5 - neither 27.♖a5 or 27.♖b5 will ensure the needed win. 29.♕d4 - better than 29.♕c5.
...♖ce7 - not 29...c5 because of 30.♕a4.
.♕b6 - this ends the defence.
...♕g7+ - 31...♕f6+ is in vain.
...♕c8 - 32...♖e2+ is useless.
.♖a7 - 34.♕a5 and 35.♖a8# cannot be prevented.

This games was awarded the equal second brilliancy prize.
