OhioChessFan: Thanks <Mateo> Qd7 was my first thought. Doesn't work. This is over.
Jul-28-06  Ulhumbrus: <Mateo: Another nice point for Black is that 29.Qd7 does not work after 29...Rc2 and 30...Bc6.> The move ...Bc6 answers the fork Qd7 by answering the threat of Qxb7 in a way which also answers the threat of Qd8.
Jul-28-06  micahtuhy: I think V looks very good here, a win for sure unless he makes some pretty major mistakes, anybody thinking Qd7 followed by Rc2?

OhioChessFan: I predict either 29 g4 or Resign.
Jul-28-06  Atking: <makaveli52: how about 29. g4?> interesting !
Jul-28-06  babakova: On closer inspection g4 sucked because of h5 Qg3 and now Rce4.
Jul-28-06  Orkhan: That little fella always plays till the very end, eh :P
Jul-28-06  spirit: volokitin is winning!

Gypsy: Oh, polychromatic bishops! And black is playing it like if he learned from Simagin. A setback day for Carlsen fans.
Jul-28-06  GiorgioCappelletti: This game has been really poorly played by white. Not really as a 2700 GM. I believe this is a 2200 performance since after 15.Nd4 all the white moves were only fake-attempts: too many good variations for black which has been almost in total control troughout the game.

Mateo: 30.Bd2 is the only move. Then comes 30...Bc6 defending everything.
Jul-28-06  micahtuhy: I don't know about you guys, but I think when the Candidate matches come around to qualify for hte 2007 World championship tournament and Carlsen has to play Aronian in the first round, he's not going to get a single victory, just and opinion. I think Levon is going to spank him.
Jul-28-06  micahtuhy: Qd7 followed by Rc2, I called it!
Jul-28-06  artemis: Giorgio: That would be the strongest that 2200 player had ever played in his life.
Jul-28-06  Karpyan: ...Rd5 now looks like Carlsen blundered
Jul-28-06  spirit: me thinks carlsen is psyched out, apparently due to his +0 against volokitin
Jul-28-06  Marmot PFL: More bad news for carlsen is that Moro is pawn up with big time edge. But Carlsen will bounce back after rest day tommorrow.
Jul-28-06  zerathul: Qd4 ? Rd5 ! Carlsen resign
Jul-28-06  micahtuhy: I think rook g2 next
Jul-28-06  Atking: Still try with Qd3
Jul-28-06  zerathul: Qg4 ? h5! wins the queen
Jul-28-06  micahtuhy: guess i was wrong about move 31. . . .

  Mateo: 32...h5 33.Qf3 (xd1) Rdd2! is terrific.
Jul-28-06  Marmot PFL: White is losing queen soon to stop mate so will resign.
Jul-28-06  Ulhumbrus: It does not seem an exaggeration to say that Carlsen's talent seems in the class of Bobby Fischer. If he loses it means that he has more yet to learn about the art of ignoring the opponent's attacks- or it may mean simply that he overlooked something
