Richard Taylor: Draw of course. So now the Armageddon madness...
Nov-28-16  notyetagm: What is the point of having White in the last game if you are going to play like that?

OhioChessFan: Thanks for the game cg.c. It's not your fault!
Nov-28-16  peyote: They played Chess like OPF
Nov-28-16  sachman19: White is not superior to black in chess. Its just mental dissophomania
Nov-28-16  zdwalsh: I was hoping for a fight of Kasparov/Karpov proportions today. MC is banking on his superiority in rapid time controls.

OhioChessFan: They played chess a lot better than OCF, but still.
Nov-28-16  cro777: Send it back to the chef challenge.

Nigel Short: "If the 12th game of the World Ch. were a restaurant dish, I would send it back to the chef!"

You want Magnus to lose the rapids because of his decision to enter them, but also think that if he wins the rapids it would be a good strategy. So if Magnus wins you will be unhappy with his correct strategy.

Nov-28-16  mcaskin: Only thing worse than this game is the inane commentary from the Fischer claque.
Nov-28-16  peyote: Send it back to the Chef!
Nov-28-16  lost in space: 30 moves in 50 mintes. And zero tention
Nov-28-16  LewisKing: RookFile-The equivalent would have been a baseball game where the batters just stood there and took strikes all nine innings, and never swung at a single pitch. Or a basketball game where both teams just let the clock run out on every posession, and refused to attempt a shot. If this had been any other sporting event, the competitors would have been booed mercilessly.
Nov-28-16  Chessmensch: This was like throwing a fight, but both participants were in on it.
Nov-28-16  Absentee: I checked on the game from mobile a few minutes ago and the first thought to cross my mind was that the browser had not refreshed the page and I was still seeing the final position from the last game. Then I noticed it was different, and that the players' colours were reversed. Dreadful.
Nov-28-16  Eyal: Ilya Merenzon announced in the press conference that those who bought tickets for today could use them for the tiebreaks as well...

Nov-28-16  Chessmensch: This whole match did nothing for chess other than make the world less interested in it. And, this last game drummed the message in.
