I was wondering about that. That $400 sounds good still.

Nov-28-16  LucB: <Do the players have to keep score in the rapid portion of the event?>

Not usually, no.

Nov-28-16  bubuli55: Tickets for game 12 include the closing ceremonies.
Nov-28-16  sachman19: I think Ivan Popov advised both to play this sort of game.

It would really break up the monotony if they did in the Armageddon.

Richard Taylor: Press Conference: "And how would you describe this very excting, nay, dramatic game with all its immmense tactical complexities and strategic subtleties."

Carlsen: "Well I pushed up the middle pawn, he made some funny moves, so i moved on of those pointy looking things, then he moved, I moved he moved I think it was a horse, then he moved I moved he moved I moved he moved I moved he moved I moved he moved I moved he moved I moved he moved I moved he moved I moved he moved and then I saw his hand and I shook it I think and the man said it was finished so I came here. Who are you all in any case? Where am I? Where are we all going?"

Of course they have to keep the score <PJS>, don't be so silly, everyone knows that! For the love of apples! It is well known....

Nov-28-16  RookFile: So did Mark Taimanov die because he saw this game?
Nov-28-16  makinavaja: It is impossible to watch good chess in a 12 games match, with few resting days. It is necessary a 24 games match. Which quality is offered to the world? Who is going to review these games in the future? Did anybody learn or enjoy anything with these games?
Nov-28-16  sachman19: iS mARK FRIEND OF iVAN pOPOV
Nov-28-16  8 Year Old Prodigy: Shame on both players. At this rate Nakamura would have presented a more exciting game than these mediocre low level performances. None of them is worthy of a world champion, none.Ridiculous.
Nov-28-16  maxi: Karjakin proved he can play chess just as boringly as Carlsen.
Nov-28-16  sachman19: 90 years is long life
Nov-28-16  savagerules: Imagine paying to go see an Nfl playoff game and in 10 minutes after no first downs or pass attempts, just running plays up the middle for no gain, they agree to stop the game and play another day? But in chess this is acceptable. That's why it is not taken seriously anymore by the public and press.

Richard Taylor: <moronovich: Is it late or early in your place <Richard Taylor>?> Here, in Kiwiland? 9.30 am. I might have to do something.

On top of this I lost a game last night, blundered a pawn possibly in an equal ending...although I was a pawn down. I had gone wrong. I had beaten my opponent lst time. I played the black side of the Nimzo, Classical- Romanishin line - which last time was a draw with that opponent. But he is only about 14 and I am 68 so I suppose that partly explains my very bad game of chess...

But there is life after chess.

I'm slowly painting and repairing my house so I suppose I could paint some of it and watch the paint dry.

Nov-28-16  Griffidam: I just logged in. I missed the whole show!!
Nov-28-16  8 Year Old Prodigy: Most louzy and tsupid time wasting world champion match ever. I'm not even going to watch any of the rapid games. I'd rather spend time walking my 8 year old dog down the Yang Tse river bank. Absolute nonsense ! And they call themselves world class players ? Grrrrrrr I don't think so. I'd rate both of them way below 1800 elo class C players.
Nov-28-16  Gregor Fenrir: I feel sorry for people who paid to see this game.
