One has nothing to do with the other - strange thinking to connect the two. In 2022, whenever a game of chess is played esp. online we have to trust opponent to not use engine -those who repeatedly cheat are clearly trying to elevate their rating to that which they cannot achieve on their own.
Someone with such a history therefore should be subject to more scrutiny and it can be concluded with reasonable certainty that they are not as strong as they the rating they obtained with cheating.
the challenge right now is simply to determine HOW the cheating was done OTB not IF.
Even more interesting if the cheating was done during the US championships despite the delay! Definitely a challenge for Columbo! |

And also costs, expenses, reasonable attorneys’ fees and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. So let's just say, don't expect much change from half a billion dollars. |
