Chigorin sacrifice N&B for R&pawn was strategically wrong. In this type of position N+B more strong than R+p.

Additionally Paulsen could play 15....Rf7 with more advantage than in game. He is so afraid Chigorin's attack, he prefer drop the rook for bishop for avoid possible Kingside assault. In the end Chigorin made some mistakes i.e. instead of 36.Qf1? better was
