Phony Benoni: <Cibator> If you're asking, White replies 12.Nh4 trapping the queen. It's a book trap, which doesn't work because Larsen has never been a book.
Nov-28-07  Cibator: Thanks Phony, although I was already familiar with the game (I used to try to play this variation of the Dutch).

plang: 13..Nd3 had been played in an Olympiad game two years earlier; 13..Nc2 was new and an improvement. White may have been counting on 15..Qf7 16 Qxc2 when White has an advantage; instead Black obtained excellent compensation for the queen. A very tricky endgame ensued which is not at all easy to annotate.
