Honza Cervenka: This looks like a game from any exhibition where Paulsen played blindfolded. Else it is hard to explain how he could have played 36.Rh4?? and 37.Rxh5?? turning a won position into lost one. Of course, final Rook ending is objectively won for black.

Paulsen conducted a 5 board simultaneous blindfold exhibition on the 21st of October, during the First American Chess Congress in New York. According to the official book of the congress, Paulsen defeated Heilbuth, but this score is a draw.

But the tournament book gives Black's final move, 43...Rg7, to which it laconically comments <(!)>.
