Oct-29-05  Karpova: 13...Rd4:?? black is too greedy and gets punished. 13...bg7 wouldn't have been that bad
Oct-29-05  Petrocephalon: Perhaps more desparate than greedy: 13..Bg7 14.Nxc6
Oct-30-05  Karpova: ok, 13...nhg8 was the last resource.

black misplays the opening completely. in the petrosian-smyslov system with ndf6 you have to place the knight on e7 but not h6. e6 was never played but g6...

i can't believe that a player rated 2202 plays that bad.

Oct-30-05  Petrocephalon: <ok, 13...nhg8 was the last resource.> ummmmm... why not 14.Nxf7?

<black misplays the opening completely. in the petrosian-smyslov system with ndf6 you have to place the knight on e7 but not h6. e6 was never played but g6...> The ..Nh6 looks rational to me. He just needed to fianchetto & castle sooner.

<i can't believe that a player rated 2202 plays that bad.> Well, let's see how well you do at 71.

Oct-31-05  Karpova: <The ..Nh6 looks rational to me. He just needed to fianchetto & castle sooner.>

may look rational to you but it's only useful if you misplay the opening in a way that makes covering f7 necessary. Sorry but i rather trust Karpov than you concerning opening theory...

<Well, let's see how well you do at 71.>

You know how old i am? this is quite impressive but better stick to facts. btw, ever heard of this guy Viktor Korchnoi?

Oct-31-05  Petrocephalon: Trust me or trust Karpov, but for goodness' sake don't trust yourself if you can't see what's wrong with 13..Bg7 or 13..Nhg8.
Nov-01-05  Karpova: I was making suggestions for black in a completely losing position so what else should they be but losing...

Ok, it's time for me to stop here. i don't disrespect you but i just don't want to consort with someone who starts to insult others without any reason. conversation shouldn't be below a certain minimum level and yours is obviously below every minimum level. sorry...

Nov-01-05  Petrocephalon: hmmmm... perhaps you do occupy the moral high ground after all. And here I was, picturing myself as a knight in shining armour, rushing to defend an old man against your scathing criticisms -- the height of chivalry! -- when in reality, what am I but a rude-monger?
Nov-18-06  slomarko: a 15 moves K.O. thats cool
