OhioChessFan: 18...Qd7 invited the Knight fork set up on move 22. 18...h6 suggests itself.
Jun-12-22  EvanTheTerrible: 22 moves, no captures, and a GM norm to boot.

fredthebear: What is this crazy joe world coming too?? I foresee armageddon in his future.
Jun-12-22  Z free or die: <crazy joe world>?!

I don't see no joes on the playerlist.

fredthebear: You don't wanna see the light because it's too bright. 137 players were at the 2020 Sunway Sitges Open.

Sébastien Mazé is a Parisian, but he looks like the Godfather!

offramp: Today's pun is based on the famous prison called the Maze in Lisburn in Ulster.
Sep-08-22  Brenin: Early resignation? I must admit, I wouldn't enjoy playing on after 22 ... Ra7 23 Nxb6 Qe7 24 Nxc8 Rxc8 25 Nf5.
Sep-08-22  ILikeKeres: Wow! No captures. White has quite the squeeze.

saffuna: Black plays like the basic program that came with my laptop: doesn't develop his queenside pieces.
Sep-08-22  Teyss: 22 moves without captures, not even close to the record 31: R Nuber vs R Keckeisen, 1994 Black resigned just before being mated.

Sep-08-22  goodevans: <offramp: Today's pun is based on the famous prison called the Maze in Lisburn in Ulster.>

The Maze Prison is well known in the UK and Ireland as where IRA and other paramilitary prisoners were detained during 'the troubles' in Northern Ireland. It came to the fore in particular as a result of hunger strikes, dirty protests and murders. I'm not sure how well known this prison is in other parts of the world.

Assuming this element of the pun was intentional then it is indeed an excellent one.

Sep-08-22  Teyss: <offramp> <goodevans> Didn't know about it, makes more sense. Very good pun then.
Dec-02-22  jerseybob: I already don't like black's game after 10.d5, but ..e5 goes like a lamb to the slaughter. I'd try 10..exd5, with some Benoni-like play.
