Jan-22-25  whiteshark: Pragg has dived into the think tank. He has to make a landmark decision about the progress of the game on his 9th move. 9...Bxc3/9...Ba6/9...c5 are the closest choices.
Jan-22-25  whiteshark: Symmetry restored. :)
Well there are opp.col. ♗

Jan-22-25  whiteshark: correction: Time left after <12...f6>: 01h06m - 00h42m I blame Putin for this transmission interference.

  Open Defence: I was looking at the line 16.Ba3 but 16...Re8 17.Nc5 Qf5 18.Nxe4 dxe4 19.Qxf5 Bxf5 20.c4 doesn't give White anything I think

Open Defence: for Praggnanandhaa's community there is no concept of surname they either use their father's name or village name to indicate origin
Jan-22-25  vonKrolock: <Open Defense> Thank You for the explanation ...

An Englishman: Good Morning: After 10...Ne4, did anyone think this pawn formation (after 26.Re2) would arise?

nope. dead draw 0.00

Jan-22-25  whiteshark: If you really want to look for improvements, then start after <26...Bf7>.

Open Defence: during the game, I expected 16.Ba3 (though the engines suggest 16.Nd4) but with a slightly different line.

As played I thought 18...Qxf3 19. gxf3 Nd6 would avoid the central passers

OTB no way I would be able to hold those

Praggnanandhaa seems to keep cool very well

This might be an apparent draw to titled players but no way would I have assessed this correctly OTB

Jan-24-25  whiteshark: as promised
