Dec-01-04  Minor Piece Activity: "The Drawman Prophecies"

A mysterious moth-like creature predicts that Kramnik will beat the living tar out of Kaspy in 2000. No one believes it until it's too late. Based on a true story. ;)

Dec-01-04  Minor Piece Activity: "Planet of the Apes"

Kaspy is accelerated through time in a spaceship and when he gets off, he notices that the people look like him.

Dec-01-04  yoozum: <MPA>, too bad that hairiness can't go to his head instead, ;-). if you think kasparov is hairy, you should check out robin williams' arm hair.
Dec-01-04  Minor Piece Activity: <you should check out robin williams' arm hair. > I'd rather not. The photoshopped nude of Kasparov on chessbase was already too much. ;-)
Dec-01-04  yoozum: wow, here's a really bad one, but it fulfills my self-imposed quota:

"Svidlerman 2"

Our superhero returns. Instead of being able to swing from building to building via spider web, he swings using the tactical webs he weaves around his opponents.

tpstar: <yoozum> Cute! You must be too young for "Svidler's List." And I'm pretty sure the original "Spyderman" was this guy = Spyridon Skembris
Dec-01-04  suenteus po 147: Don't forget "Averbakh to the Future!"
Dec-01-04  iron maiden: I'm surprised no one's yet mentioned Patch Adams, or 20,000 Lekos Under the Sea.
Dec-02-04  iron maiden: And no one's done very much with the extremely punnable AVRO participants, either. I'll get the ball rolling with The 13th Flohr, Fine-al Destination, I-Robotvinnik, and Caparazzi.
Dec-02-04  percyblakeney: "Spassky & Dutch": A more effective combination in the 70's than now.
Dec-02-04  arifattar: Have you seen The Rubenstein Commandments or Svidler on the Roof?
Dec-02-04  vonKrolock: <Svidler on the Roof> lol, <arifattar> i saw and remember of Rabbi Volodia and the Song: "Drawmaker, Drawmaker, make me a Draw, etc"
Dec-02-04  arifattar: 'Hot Shorts'
A chess player after an embarassing world championship and an ever increasingly embarassing writing career, courts further embarassment in Hollywood.
Dec-02-04  AdrianP: "Get Shorty", starring Tony Miles and the Benny Hill theme tune.

"Ray, man" biopic of GM Keene in the 70s.

Dec-02-04  AdrianP: "Independence Day" IM Lawrence Day on offbeat openings (DVD)
Dec-02-04  AdrianP: "Another Day in Paradis" starring IM Day and Vanessa Paradis (R18)
Dec-02-04  percyblakeney: "I Love Losing", comedy in 26 episodes based on the true story of Colonel Moreau
Dec-02-04  yoozum: <tpstar>, i can't believe i forgot about schindler's list!
Dec-02-04  suenteus po 147: <iron maiden>, <perceyblakeney>, <arifattar> ROTFLMAO!
Dec-02-04  suenteus po 147: Something tells me in the coming months this page is going to be a goldmine for <chessgames.com>'s Game of the Day puns ;)
Dec-02-04  admiralnemo: Sorry, can't resist, but isn't, "Another Day in Paradis" a bit well, how should I say it...wink, wink
Dec-02-04  yoozum: <I Love Losing> LOL.
Dec-04-04  poktirity: AdrianP <Another Day in Paradis>

Is that a porn movie? ;)
