Yes, and it says <However, one can say that there is no evidence that he did not survive the War.’>

Jul-26-12  Karpova: He worked for the '(Neue) Wiener Schachzeitung' and lived in Kraków as is evident from page 168 of the 1926 issue (the article 'Schach in Poland' is based on his reports).
