  perfidious: Reading of Wanetick's encounter with Gene Salomon recalled the droll story of Mieses' win late in life and his quip afterwards--but these players were older still!

On the topic of <Louis>' kibitz: a time ago, I looked up Wanetick on the USCF website, which is usually fairly reliable once one's ticket has been punched, and he remains not listed as deceased, as of today.
