Yukio Miyasaka (宮坂幸雄) is both chess and a shogi player, 9th Dan (2002). He retired in 1999. Miyasaka became the first Japanese champion after the inauguration of the Japan Chess Association and was the Japanese champion consecutively four times (1968 - 1971).
