Sep-29-04  OneArmedScissor: I'm assuming after 31. Kh1 e4!
Winning the rook?
Mar-08-06  zev22407: 16)..N:c3. And Fischer has the advantage, the pawns c2,c3 and e4 are weak and later with 26)..f5 Fischer has and attack on white's king.
Mar-16-12  screwdriver: 15 NA4 was a brilliant move on Fischer's part. What can white do? White thought he could capture on a4 after attacking Fisher's queen on d8. And, Fischer thought through that move by taking on c3 and threatening a queen check on e2, which would win the queen back. Nice. Now white has crumpled pawns and it's just a matter of time for Fischer to turn it into a full point.
Mar-16-12  Riverbeast: Another flawless, almost computer-like win by Fischer...Wow

  OhioChessFan: This is just awful by White. 11. h3 and 12. a3 about make my eyes bleed. Why not 11 or 12 or 13. f5? Amazing passiveness. The game was probably lost, but surely 24. cxd3 was better. Fischer just blasted his way through and did it quickly.

  HeMateMe: Yuki should have stuck to Go.
Sep-03-13  Zugzwangovich: <HeHateMe> Or shogi. He's called "Miyasaka" in both the Fischer game collections.
Aug-03-14  Ke2: This game is significant for the improvement 8... Be6 over 8... O-O as in 4 previous Fischer games. Possibly Fischer didn't like 9. g4, as in Carlsen - Nakamura.

  PawnSac: <Ke2:> In the CG database;

8. ..Be6 is older than 8...0-0

8. ..0-0 has a better statistical result

9.g4 can be played in either position.

..0-0 & ..Be6 are often both played and the only difference is move order, which is not significant.

  PawnSac: What IS significant is that with 10...Nbd7 black begins a plan to target white's E pawn, which becomes weaker after 11.f4?! and much of black's play concentrates on this weakness, until white finally defends it with his Q and still loses it!
