GrahamClayton: While Otteson is best remembered for his 1957 victory over Bobby Fischer, he also was Minnesota state champion in 1949 at the age of 16. His son Milton S Otteson was a member of the University of Minnesota team that won the Midwestern InterCollegiate Chess Tournament at Iowa City in 1962.

perfidious: <GrahamClayton> There appears to be a typo in your information, unless Otteson jump-started his family.
Sep-30-13  Oopizootics: The dates do seem a bit wrong. Perhaps he will give me the details, my son starts lessons with him this week.
