perfidious: As is the case with many strong masters of the pre-computer era, David's games are under-represented here.

He won consecutive New England championships in 1984-85, defeating James A Rizzitano in the final round each year, at a time when the latter was the strongest player in New England.

Jan-17-21  Granny O Doul: I wouldn't like to make a habit of this, but: https://register.chessclub.com/gnyscc. Dies of colon cancer at 56. Knew him a bit; soft-spoken but friendly enough. To his bio I'd add 1979 national JHS champion. I remember he got a brief write-up in People mag shortly after. He also played in the US Junior closed in 1983.

chancho: Such sad news. I remember him back in the days when he wore a Ramones T-shirt to to a tournament.

perfidious: This is rather a shock; while we only met thrice at the board (+1 =2 in David's favour), there was hardly a major New England event at which I did not see David in the 1980s. I also well remember the Ramones tee shirt.
