Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-13-07  RonB52734: Bruce Leverett is a software engineer who lives in Pittsburgh, PA. He is (several times, including at least once against his will) past President of the Pittsburgh Chess Club. He remains a member of its Board of Directors, where he holds the official post of membership director, and the unofficial post of elder statesman for the club's current patzer President. He also organizes the area high school chess league, and the Club's prison chess program. He is also the games editor of the Pittsburgh Chess Club's newsletter, En Passant, which has won a number of awards. To see Bruce's own words, I encourage you to read his annotations for B Leverett vs Judit Polgar, 1987

Bruce remains active in the Pittsburgh Chess League -- a team-based tournament that we believe to be the longest-running league in the US. He also plays in major tournaments like the World Open when his schedule permits.

(He will kill me for telling you this, but) His young son once told me that Bruce's rating was "23 thousand".

If I were to play him, it might as well be!

Cheers, Bruce. :)

Mar-13-07  RonB52734: Oh! I think Bruce is also currently Vice President - West, for the Pennsylvania State Chess Federation.
