Bob Seltzer was 5X US national champion for his age group.

Jul-11-14  Everett: <Product Description

Bob Seltzer was five times national champion for his age group. This CD contains all his tournament games from raw beginner to master and U.S. Cadet Champion (from ages 9 to 14, from unrated to 2353).

By seeing how he learned from his mistakes and rapidly improved, you can improve your own game.

Highlights:
US Junior Open (under age 12) 1986
National Elementary Champion 1987
National Jr. High Champion (8th grade and under) 1989 National Jr. High Champion (9th grade and under) 1990 US Cadet Champion 1990
Aspis Prize winner (top in US under the age of 12) 1987 US Representative to World Youth Championships in Puerto Rico (1987) and Romania (1988) The US Cadet is an invitational round robin tournament. The eight highest rated players under the age of 16 in the US are invited, and each player faces every other player. Bob won every game (7-0). One of his opponents was Josh Waitzkin, the chess prodigy at the center of the book and movie Searching for Bobby Fischer.

The most insightful article about Bob's chess focused on his victory in a simul against Former World Champion Mikhail Tal. It was written by Larry Eldridge and published in the Christian Science Monitor. http://www.csmonitor.com/1988/0405/...

FYI -- Now (in 2006), Bob is now 31. He majored in molecular biophysics and chemistry at Yale, worked as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group, founded an Internet startup, got an MBA from Wharton, and now works for the venture capital company CareCapital http://www.carecapital.com>
