Oct-29-06  Maatalkko: ROFLMAO!!! This is the guy!!! SWEET!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazlo_...(vandal)

He attacked a Michelangelo statue with a sledgehammer back in 1972. Man, was that a good year for chess.

I knew this lunatic was a chess player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was introduced to the strange story of Toth in a Business Communications class, where we looked at some weird letters written by "Lazlo Toth" to the president of McDonalds. Amazingly enough, Toth got some serious replies. While reading Wikipedia later, I discovered that "Lazlo Toth" was a pseudonym Don Novello used to harass authority figures (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_No...).

However, for some reason I associated the name Lazlo with chess genius, probably because of Lazlo Polgar. Thus, when I saw the name "Toth" appear in THE ART OF ATTACK, I knew I was onto something. That wasn't the same Toth it turns out, but anyway: http://www.guardian.co.uk/notesandq....

Oct-29-06  Maatalkko: Toth plays pretty well for someone who thinks he's Jesus Christ.
