Oct-19-07  Karpova: A WIM from Australia who was born in 1980 (not to be confused with WFM Anastasia Sorokina from Russia who was born in 1992!).

She has a webpage:
http://www.chessacademy.com.au/

She's not just a chessplayer but also an International Arbiter and a coach!

<"I believe that in every school you can find a future Gary Kasparov or Judit Polgar. My mission is to discover this talent and help it grow.">

At least the boys would surely give their best in order to impress her.

Oct-19-07  kellmano: Right. If you only ever visited this website, you'd think there were loads of beautiful women who play chess. I've only been to 3 or 4 tournaments (in England), but i've never seen a remotely attractive woman. Come to think of it i've never seen a woman between 15 and 50.

Very annoying.

'.. Belarus has been stripped of the hosting rights for the 2022 International Chess Federation (FIDE) Congress and Chess Olympiad after breaching financial obligations.

The Belarusian capital of Minsk was given the hosting rights for the events in October 2018 [Anastasia Sorokina was elected to the post of FIDE Vice President], but the decision has now been overturned. ..'
