Jan-05-05  weary willy: Is this the player who grew up in Sussex, England ... now emigrated to Canada?!
Jan-05-05  Frank Dixon: Yes, it is the same David Cummings! He played for Canada in the 2000 Olympiad, I believe, and in the 2002 Canadian Championship. He is a solid IM, and has written a recent book on the English. He hasn't been playing much recently. I believe he was born in Canada.
Jan-05-05  Knezh: This is one of the few players on this site that i've had the honour of talking to personally It was at OYCC (Ontario YOuth Chess CHampionship) event.. HE is quite a likeable guy.
Jan-25-05  GBKnight: Its always nice to see recollections of players from the past on this excellent website. I remember David as a junior (late 1970s) and from the UK congress scene around the early 1980s. Very pleasant guy I recall and played very instructive games on the white side of the English Opening and black side of the French.
