(born Nov-23-1927, died Jan-29-2012, 84 years old) United States of America

Kiven (Ken) Plesset was a Life Master at OTB chess, and a Senior Master of correspondence chess. He was the co-winner, with Robert Eisen, of the 1981 Absolute Correspondence Chess Championship, and won the tournament outright in 1996. He also won the U.S. Individual Intercollegiate Tourney in 1944, and the CCLA Class Championship, and finished second in the 1973 New England Open.

Mar-31-23  drdos7: Interesting, Plesset only has 5 games on chessgames.com, but 2 of them made it to become the game of the day. I knew Kiven (Ken) Plesset back when he was here in the Columbus, Ohio area (I think it was the late 80's early 90's perhaps). He helped found a new chess club at the YMCA north that met on Thursday evening which was nice because on Friday you could go to the downtown YMCA and meet at that chess club also.
