Georgs Hodakovskis was born on February 3, 1917 in Riga. In 1938 he won the Riga Trade Union title. He also finished shared 8th in the 1938-39 Latvian championship. After he emigrated to Germany, Hodaovskis won the Hamburg Championship and the Dahne-Pokal tournament.1
