Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-12-07  technical draw: Former US armed forces champion.
Mar-12-07  technical draw: His highest rating is 2361.
Mar-12-07  Resignation Trap: Donato Rivera also played for Puerto Rico in the Varna Olympiad in 1962.

I wonder if all these games were played by the same person. "Rivera" is a rather common name, and there is a 15-year gap between games 21 and 22.

Mar-12-07  technical draw: I believe all the games here are by the same person: Donato Rivera de Jesus. He has been a practicing attorney in Puerto Rico for many years and goes in and out of chess life.
Mar-12-07  Resignation Trap: I saw his name frequently in magazines from the 1960's, primarily during his active military service, though not often beyond that.
Mar-13-07  BarneyRubble123: He played Bobby Fischer. Pretty neat.
May-11-10  ohfluckaduck: He gave me lessons when I lived in Madrid in 1967. He was a Captain in the USAF stationed at Torrejon AB. Lossed track of him afterwards.
