Aug-19-12  Karpova: He won the double-round robin Main tournament of the Sachovni klub Dobrusky in Prague at the end of 1906 (a game against Engler was played on Nov-14) and dominated throughout. He won with 14.0 (+12 =4 -2) ahead of Sop and Engler (12.5 points each) and Karel Treybal (11.0 points).

Mar-25-22  Jan Kersten: Lev Taussig was born 1st December 1884 in Tlustice and died 12th October 1944 in the concentration camp of Auschwitz. Sources: Malá Encyklopedie Šachu p.386 and Shakhmatnaya Evreiskaya Entsiklopedia p.246
