perfidious: With this FIDE rating, this player would appear to be a petty tyrant, by comparison with members of the 2700 Club.

In the following game, however, Conan shows who is boss:

FSR: <perfidious> Say what? Conan got whomped, barbarically, in 24 moves. The Tyrant did much better than in his only game in this database, an 8-move loss.

perfidious: <FSR>: Do you know that I originally posted that Conan 'was shown who is boss', did not like it (for some unaccountable reason) and replaced it with the above?

Time to smoke some......

FSR: <perfidious> Speaking of posts that appear to have been made under the influence: I noticed the other day that last year I posted, during a colloquy with you, that Bisguier might be my only route to a Fischer number of 2. Actually, I played Tal (who is rumored to have played Fischer a time or two) in a simul, and Viktors Pupols in a tournament game (see Fischer vs V Pupols, 1955 and V Pupols vs F Rhine, 1997). I've also played tournament and/or offhand games against Peter Wolf, Jim Warren, and Winton Fulk, all of whom played one or more simul games against Fischer.

perfidious: <FSR>: Ching! Another Fischer-2, in Jim Warren.

We played in the 1988 US Open, and he is one of the weaker members of my Fischer-2 corner, along with Benjamin Greenwald.

My game against Warren finished with this combinative idea:
