Robert (Bob) achieved a Canadian National Candidate Master certification from Ontario results of 1997. He has helped to run the Mississauga chess club (1) and has since also assisted with executive decisions for the Canadian Chess Federation.(2)

Bob won the Burlington club championship in 2009. In 2002, he won the under 2000 section of the Spring Pro-Am tournament in Guelph. In 2001, he tied for 1st-2nd with Tim E Knechtel in the under 2000 section of the Guelph late Fall Pro-Am tournament (3, 4).
