Nov-24-08  Simonkaser: "Décès de Tarik RRHIOUA 24 novembre 2008

L'Echiquier de Meaux-Beauval a la tristesse d'informer les clubs du décès accidentel de Tarik Rrhioua, survenu ce dimanche lors d'un accident de la route, en venant disputer sa partie de NIII à Meaux.

Fidèle pilier de l'équipe, fort de l'estime de ses coéquipiers et toujours aimable avec ses adversaires, il cachait souvent sa timidité, mais c'était un grand coeur. Vainqueur de beaucoup de tournois rapides, notamment du Club 608, ainsi que du championnat de Paris B, Tarik restera dans nos mémoires, et il nous manquera.

This article has been posted on the French Chess Federation ( http://echecs.asso.fr ). It says that Tarik died in a car crash while returning home after the National III at Meaux, France.
