South African Open Championships

[Complete history 1962 - 2016]

' The South African Open was first held in 1962 in Wilderness. Two well known overseas masters, Alberic O'Kelly de Galway and Harry Golombek [that they touched Afrcan soil at all is not even mentioned in both GMs wikis anywhere], were invited to play, and they shared first place.
