 | | MissScarlett: I've deleted the submission of a game from the FIDE world rapid and blit team championships, because I intend to upload the complete events in the near future. |

 | | offramp: The <2nd UzChess Cup 2025> features the hideous refusenik Nodirbek Abdusattorov. He refused to touch a women's hand!! He must be the favourite. |
|
Jun-20-25 | | stone free or die: <<off> He refused to touch a women's hand!!> But he apologized profusely for it, and even brought her flowers. I know it's true because it's on a youtube video. |

G Tokhirjonova vs Ivanchuk, 2025

35...?
(I am still unable to do the "+m=35.5" link.)
BTW, I saw this: <Vasyl Ivanchuk <4,245 more games of Ivanchuk>>.
THAT is a lot of games. |

 | | Dionysius1: Hi cg.com
I've read your page about the Daily Chess Puzzle. I've also been trying to solve the Monday puzzle over the last few weeks, and I think for that day at least the function is no longer fit for purpose. Today's puzzle solution had a showy opening move, but there was no clear resolution in a couple of moves in any of the lines, which is what you'd expect from a "very easy" puzzle. This has been approximately the case for the last few weeks. I suspect you're using AI to select the puzzles, and it's doing it wrong and nobody's checking. I don't try Tuesday's if I can't solve Monday's satisfactorily, so I'm giving the Daily Chess Puzzle a rest now for a few months. I'll check back in September to see if it's ffp. Be careful you don't discourage a lot of novices by setting the Monday standard too high! You used to claim encouraging them was one of your goals |

We've made an update that seems to have resolved the issue. Sorry for the delay. |

Jun-28-25 | | stone free or die: <steve> good. Just curious - why only a limited sequencing? Or did I hallucinate it? |

 | | OhioChessFan: What was the point in removing Borin Topic? You have a seriously unhumorous admin. |
|
Jun-30-25 | | stone free or die: Goran Topic (was <Borin Topic>, now is <Goran Topic>) Borin Topic (current <Borin Topic>) The latter has no (stub) games, which I believe is why comments can't be made. Not sure when all this was done (i.e. haven't check <Wayback> yet), nor do I know who did it (but I do have a leading suspect in mind!). |

 | | offramp: Beneath the screen board there is a large ➕, and a move is replayed roughly every 3 seconds. I am a busy man. I want moves to be replayed every <2> seconds. How can I change that rate?
At the end of each business day I could have saved 200-300 seconds. |
|
Jul-01-25 | | stone free or die: I actually had the same idea as <offramp>, playing though some games looking for unmoved bishops. In <SCID> there's a user-setting for the replay speed. Wonder if <Daniel>/<CG> just never got asked before? |

Jul-06-25 | | Modragus: Good day.
In the recent kibitzing, please un-ban “Wesley So” |

Jul-06-25 | | Modragus: Oh. Now it’s ok. Thank you admin. |

 | | offramp: FIDE is 101 years old.
I wonder if FIDE could have its own page. Perhaps there are some FIDE games, like correspondence games. FIDE has had an eventful history, often controversial. |

Jul-20-25 | | sugardom2: Can you create a Chessgames - Politics page.
I need to look for Kenneth Rogoff everytime since you are not listing him in the recent kibitzing page. It will also do the man and his page justice, since what is being kibitz there is not even about him. It's about time, don't you think? |
