Feb-14-06  mr. nice guy: This is one testosterone filled page!
Feb-14-06  midknightblue: <sickedchess> Just curious, who is the babe on her right?
Feb-14-06  John Abraham: <sickedchess> In that last pic, she has a pimple? Are you sure that is her BTW? She looks not so good in that pic but better in other pics. Strange...
Feb-14-06  Jim Bartle: Are we really discussing whether a teenage girl has a pimple?
Feb-14-06  Sonic Adventure: <Jim Bartle> LOL. Some like <John> will go to any lengths to demean themselves.
Feb-15-06  blingice: I feel bad for all of you if the girls that live in your country are so bad that you think that girl is pretty. I'm sorry, I've held my tongue on every other page where there is a picture of a girl where people gush about she is "amazing" etc., but here, I cannot. She is not pretty whatsoever.

I'm sorry to who all I may offend, but for real, this girl looks nothing like Tyra Banks, Giselle Bundechen, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, etc.

Feb-15-06  John Abraham: <blingice> The women you mentioned are very pretty, yes, but I prefer to go for the younger women. I am confident that many on this site feel the same.

Have a good day.

Feb-15-06  Jim Bartle: Fifteen years old is a girl, not a woman.
Feb-15-06  John Abraham: She is nearly 16 y.o.

What you are saying is beside the point, and I know that you are aware of that.

Feb-15-06  midknightblue: http://chessbase.com/espanola/image...

Stop discussing this chick. We want to know who the REAL babe is! The chick on her right!

WannaBe: <midnightblue> On her right? with the white T-shirt?!
Feb-15-06  blingice: <John Abraham> It is definetely not beside any point if you prefer young women yet are oggling a very un-pretty girl. I suppose American culture has just taught me to marry girls at a sensible age rather than hearken back to Medieval times when eight year olds were sold to twenty year old men. This is what it reminds me of when you said that.

tamar: <blingice> She's not trying to be a model, she is trying to be a chessplayer, and succeeding beyond 99% who post here.

Please respect the players, as they may visit their pages.

Feb-15-06  Jim Bartle: "Please respect the players, as they may visit their pages."

That's excellent advice. I'd say you can certainly be critical, even have a little fun, but within limits.

Feb-15-06  blingice: <tamar> I didn't start the discussion about her looks. I felt obligated, as a heterosexual man, to correct obviously fallacious (and awkward) swooning over someone who isn't that pretty, and to try and even attempt ending the STUPIDITY, I feel, is posting on EVERY SINGLE female player's page that I have seen where kibitzer after kibitzer makes the obligatory comment about the person being "amazingly beautiful". THEY AREN'T! I have seen ONE that was moderately pretty, but I restrained myself from making a stupid, ignorant, guffawing, cliche man-comment about how stunning she was and stopped the forum from becoming discussing her looks rather than her games and her career. She is a professional Chessplayer, and that's what she should be treated as in this forum. If Tyra Banks played a game and it was put into the database, discussion about her looks would be understandable because A. she is Victoria's Secret's lead model, and her job is to be beautiful, and B. her job ISN'T Chess.

So, by just condemning me, you are perpetuating this idiocy that is the COMMENT after COMMENT of how pretty the female Chessplayers are on their pages.

Yes, this is the angriest I've ever been on this website.

well, everybody has his own opinion and that's good. so if you don't find her pretty but others do, there's no need to call them stupid or trying to impose your own opinion upon the <nonbelievers> (which is in fact stupid). please show a bit of tolerance towards other human-beings (including anna muzychuk)
