Oct-04-07  Resignation Trap: I'm also going to bite a rook, but I'll need some dental work first.
Oct-05-07  whiteshark:

Lies don't exist.

Oct-05-07  Ragh: Three weird usernames on CG: <technical draw>, <whiteshark> and <WannaBe>
Oct-05-07  technical draw: This is the weirdest user name on CG:

<Autoreparaturwerkbau>

Oct-05-07  Ragh: <td> I suppose that alien linguistic expression translates to <Auto Repair Workshop> in English.
Oct-05-07  technical draw: <Ragh> Probably. But you'll have to ask Mr. Werkbau...
Oct-05-07  technical draw: <autoreparturwerkstatt> is a better name.
Oct-05-07  technical draw: Ich spreche 11 Sprachen einschliesslich Zeichensprache für die Taube.
Oct-05-07  whiteshark: Whenever I read <Autoreparaturwerkbau> my mind panics.

This word is composed of 4 simple German nouns
1 (Auto)-2(Reparatur)-3(Werk)-4(Bau)

and the combination of 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 (factory building site) are words with sepearate meanings, also the combination of 1-2-3 and 2-3-4, though unusual, make sense and are o.k.,

but all nouns together are quite confusing.

I hope this will give you and me better judgments.

BURMA !!!

Oct-05-07  whiteshark:
<td> You <speak> sign language with doves? So you are an animal trainer or Dr. Doolittle? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor...
Oct-05-07  technical draw: Für die taub....
Oct-05-07  NakoSonorense: Guten tag. Wie geht's?
Oct-06-07  whiteshark: <Nako> Best pick-up line in German, foolproof.
Oct-06-07  Whitehat1963: Marion Jones never took performance-enhancing drugs. Neither did Florence Griffith-Joyner, Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Lance Armstrong, Sammy Sosa, Ben Johnson, Tim Montgomery, anyone in the NFL, the East German swimmers, Chinese women long-distance runners, anyone in weightlifting, body-building or professional wrestling.

I wish everyone would just get off this idiotic witch hunt already! And leave Balco alone. They're only giving people flaxseed oil.

Now, as for chessplayers on steroids ....

Oct-06-07  maxi: Now you should have kept that can of worms closed, Whitehat1963! But I'll come clean on this. The use of stimulants, steroids and hormones among chess players is rampant. It began with the Soviets giving female hormones to their top chess stars. They all reeked of estrogens: Botvinnik, Smyslov, even Kasparov. (After a while they became so attractive they were not allowed to travel alone to the West.) Then the East German players were given loads of steroids so they could lift and move the chess pieces easily and become invincible in 5-minute chess. Even Bobby Fischer was corrupted by the Soviets and always had with him during tournaments a glass of orange juice laced with chamomile. Everybody is doing it.
Oct-06-07  Whitehat1963: I'm all but positive that Carlsen has been taking HBGH (human brain growth hormone) for years! What else would explain his rapid development.

Kramnik's team has discovered that Ex-Lax is a great prophylactic.

Topalov and Ivanchuk, of course, take "The Clear" which helps one see combinations more clearly.

And it goes without saying that the Polgar sisters have been on male neurotransmitters since early childhood.

Frankly, I think chess-enhancement drugs date back to Morphy. What else would explain his sudden rise then immediate disappearance from the scene?

Oct-06-07  whiteshark: Kasparow only became poltican when 'they' told him that the Kremlin President gets the stuff for free.
Oct-07-07  Calli: New book about the Lie family is due out soon http://www.overstock.com/Books-Movi...
Oct-07-07  maxi: The world is full of lies, especially Norway, oddly enough. And there are lies too in mathematics, mainly in continuous group theory.
Oct-07-07  Calli: Also popular in golf and among sleeping dogs.
Oct-07-07  GeauxCool: And Hungarian Grandmaster Lajos Potash.
Oct-07-07  technical draw: Corny Joke time! I'll add my own. I have a machine that detects one of these players.
Oct-08-07  NakoSonorense: Anand is the undisputed non-classical-cuz-he-won-the-title-in-a-tournament world chess champion!
Oct-08-07  BishopofBlunder: <technical draw: I'm going to write a book too. "My Great Predecessors.".. But I don't know if I should start with Newton or Einstein...??>

Start with Einstein. Juice Newton is highly overrated.

Oct-08-07  technical draw: Darn, I hate sharing!:
