Oct-12-07  GeauxCool: Al Gore really won the Nobel Prize for his invention.
Oct-13-07  Whitehat1963: <The second highest American title is Life Master>

First, of course, is "Bait Master." Of which I am currently the highest rated. And deservingly proud I am!

Oct-13-07  technical draw: Hey Attention all: We just got blasted from <ChessNe1> on the Timmerman game page. He calls us "like minded"...La de da..Mr. Sophisticated apparently reads the Odd Lie but is in denial. Anyway half of the stuff on the Timmerman page is unrelated to chess or the game. But some people are just self-appointed rule makers.
Oct-13-07  GeauxCool: <technical draw> Please don't think about giving him "King for a Day" status. Having all participants repeat the ideas written by <ChessNe1> for an entire day would not be any fun.
Oct-13-07  technical draw: <GeauxCool> Thanks for the warning. It was my first contact with him. I didn't know he has a past.

chancho: Sam Sloan is an innocent man.
Oct-13-07  technical draw: <chancho> <Sam Sloan is an innocent man.>

He'll probably sue you for saying that...

Oct-15-07  twinlark: Ricardo Sanchez thinks the President and all his men are wonderful, muscular and extremely intelligent and competent examples of US manhood who are in touch with their inner criminals.

Condaleeza Rice announced she would like to be Hillary Clinton's running mate. "I like to keep my friends close," she said, "and my enemies even closer."

Hillary was so impressed with Condi's grasp of foreign policy that she said she'd appoint her as the next deputy assistant minister counselor for agriculture to the US Embassy in Baghdad.

Dick Cheney will be her chief of staff responsible for ensuring her watering can always holds enough water for her to attend the pot plants on her patio, while David Petraeus will stand guard and prevent anyone else from smoking them.

I can almost see the covergirl's Chessbox!

Oct-15-07  twinlark: John Howard finally succumbed and reluctantly called an Australian general election for next month, refusing to concede that mere legalities such as the Constitutional requirement to call one sometime this century forced his hand.

"People will vote for me because they hate my guts and would love to see me drop dead in Question Time batting at one of Julia Gillard's curve balls," he orated confidently, "and not because that bloody wimp Rudd is better looking than me, or smarter, or better at YouTube than I am."

Wannabe PM Kevin Rudd was certain he would be elected on the basis that he had been a teenager more recently than Honest John. "Time to trade the old bastard in for a newer model," said good ol' Kev. "Trust me, I'm from Queensland and it's been ten years since I practiced golf smashing cane toads over the border and into New South Wales."

Oct-15-07  twinlark: <GeauxCool>

Reckon you could give her the odds of a piece in the Muzio Gambit and mate her in fifteen moves or less?

Oct-15-07  GeauxCool: C'mon, what are the odds of mating her?
Oct-15-07  twinlark:

Depends how well you play the gambit, I guess...what's her rating anyway?

Oct-15-07  whiteshark: Britney must be very poor, having not a stitch to wear. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.
Oct-15-07  twinlark: Are you referring to the poor lass's snatch at fame?
Oct-15-07  whiteshark: <Twin> My dic blush deeply this time. So don't nail my head down on that. :D
Oct-15-07  twinlark: Was it you that tried to eat this poor woman: http://www.smh.com.au/news/national...
Oct-15-07  whiteshark: <Twintwin> No, I'm a veggy white. I can’t help detesting my relations. I suppose it comes from the fact that none of us can stand other sharks having the same faults as ourselves.

Oct-15-07  whiteshark: Never saw Britney swimming undressed.

Couldn't guarantee for my veggie habit then as 'the spirit is willing but the flesh is fresh'.

Oct-15-07  whiteshark: I once wrote the epoch making 'Complete history of chess'. Unfortunately I misplaced the manuscript.
Oct-15-07  technical draw: I once wrote a book, TD's 300 best games of chess. The editor than changed it to TD's 100 best games of chess. The title was changed again to "50 games by TD" It finally came out as "TD teaches GO"...
Oct-15-07  technical draw: The above is a lie. The final title was TD teaches Checkers......

Oct-15-07  amadeus: The opposite of a deep truth is another deep truth.
