WannaBe: Dr. Draw, whenever I play chess, OTB, my horsie-looking-piece always have to face forward, at a 90 degree angle to the horizontal plane.

Not at 45 degrees, or 30 degrees, and heavens forbid, facing towards my own KING! I find my self adjusting the pieces before the game, and during the game, I always place my horsie-looking-piece in the exact manner.

Is this an O/C behaviour? What do/would you prescribe for this? Is this normal for chess players?

Oct-18-07  whiteshark: <<Wannabe> Is this an O/C behaviour?> Maybe only an obsessive kink, but what's your reaction if your chesspartner is not following your behaviour when moving <his ♘s> ??
Oct-18-07  technical draw: <whiteshark> Please! <Wannabe> is MY patient! Please follow proper professional protocol.

Now, <wannabe> I diagnose serious OCD (Obsessive/Complusive Disorder.) Since I've been reading your posts for years I know that medication will not work for your condition. I will order you to be institutionalized and commence shock treatment immediately. A frontal Lobotomy could help and might even improve your chess. DR. Draw, MD, YMCA

Oct-18-07  whiteshark: Someone must have stolen my user-ID here yesterday. I would never ever write such a load of @#$%*&!#, even if I'm drunk.
